This course prepares students to assist students with disabilities to transition into post-secondary learning, the adult world of work and independent living. Collaboration with outside agencies and utilizing community resources to assist students in progressing toward their life-goals is a major component of the course. Students will gain the necessary knowledge to guide adolescents who have disabilities in gaining self-advocacy skills and actively participating in their own transition planning. Service learning will also be a component of this class
