The 2017 Traditional Plants Contest Testing site for the spring 2017 AIHEC Student Conference MARCH 19-21, 2017 held at: Ramkota Hotel & Conference Center 2111 N Lacrosse St Rapid City, SD 57701 Location of contest will be: OLC's He Sapa College Center 127 Knollwood Dr. Rapid City, SD 57709 Contest Time: Check your AIHEC packet for the time of the contest. Student's will be provided an ID and password at the beginning of the contest and will utilize a computer and OLC's Moodle system to complete the power point plant photo contest.  Winners will be announced at the Student banquet. Make sure you choose the best possible answer to each question presented in this contest. With the Moodle system spelling does count. The coordinator's will review all exams through the Moodle system and may change scores related to spelling errors only. In case the system times out an alternative backup exam will be available. Make sure you save your Moodle exam before you leave the contest area. Ask the coordinator for assistance if you are unsure how to do this.

Beginning management training on hoop house (greenhouse) management. Geographic area of emphasis will be the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Course will not only cover vegetable production under a hoop house but will also look at beginning financial management for a small agricultural business.
